They are working on improving the packaging in 3 ways:


Transitioning from single-use to reusable

Reducing the amount of material used, and

Ensuring the products can be diverted from landfills through recycling or composting

Their design standards for new restaurants and renovations incorporate the use of leading industry products and practices that aim to reduce energy consumption, water use, greenhouse gas emissions and waste.


Tim Hortons takes responsible sourcing across their supply chain seriously. They have strict expectations of all their vendors with respect to business integrity and sustainability. In addition, they pursue continuous improvement in their supply chain towards ethically sourcing coffee, eliminating deforestation, and improving animal welfare.
